المستخلص:During the 15th and 16th centuries AD, the West African region witnessed important local and international transformations that had a profound impact on the future and history of the region. During this era, the African kingdoms suffered from many political, economic, and even social problems, which ultimately led to their decline and fall. Thus, a page in the history of West Africa was turned, which was full of civilizational, intellectual, and economic achievements, and a new page was opened that we can consider a black page. In the history of the African continent as a whole; The European intervention, especially the Portuguese, became widespread and grew, and the most important result of this intervention was the shift of the global center of gravity from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean, and the areas adjacent to it.
