| المستخلص: | يعد اضطراب التوحد من أكثر الاضطرابات النمائية تأثيرا على المجالات الرئيسية في القدرات الوظيفية، فقد جذب الاضطراب التوحدي اهتمام الاختصاصيين والباحثين النفسيين، ولا يقتصر أسباب هذا الاضطراب المحير على سبب محدد تختلط في فهمه الأساطير غير المقبولة والآمال الضائعة، والسبل غير المجدية للعلاج (شريبمان: 2010). فأسبابه متعددة ولا يزال هذا الاضطراب مثيرا للجدل من حيث تشخيصه وأسبابه وأساليب علاجه. فالتوحديون مجموعة غير متجانسة من الأفراد في الخصائص والصفات، وعلى الرغم من ذلك فإن هنالك عددا من الخصائص العامة التي يشتركون فيها، وبشكل عام يبدأ الأطفال المتوحدون العديد من أشكال السلوك والخصائص التي تميزهم عن غيرهم من الفئات والإعاقات، وتتمثل هذه الخصائص في: ضعف اللغة، وضعف شديد في السلوك الاجتماعي وتمثيله، وهي الصفة التي تميزه والأكثر وضوحا في اضطراب التوحد. وتكمن أهمية البحث في أنه سيجعل من التربية الرياضية، وممارسة النشاط الرياضي معا أسلوبا أساسيا مبنيا على أسس علمية صحيحة؛ لمساعدة الأطفال المتوحدين للتغلب على مظاهر العزلة والانسحاب والضعف في مهارات التفاعل الاجتماعي. وهدف البحث إلى: ممارسة النشاط الرياضي لتخفيف بعض السلوكات العدوانية لدى الأطفال المصابين بطيف التوحد (متوسط الشدة). ولتحقيق هذا الهدف افترض البحث ما يلي: هناك فروق ذات دلالة معنوية في ممارسة النشاط الرياضي لتحسين بعض السلوكات العدوانية وتطويرها إلى سلوكات هادفة بين الاختبارين القبلي والبعدي ولصالح الاختبار البعدي. أما الدراسات النظرية فقد جاءت في مباحث عديدة، تضمنت مفهوم التوحد والأعراض والتشخيص وطرائق المعالجة.
