| المستخلص: | The purpose of this article is to study the vulnerability of groundwater to pollution of the Gharb aquifer using the Drastic model, depending on the hydrological characteristics of the area regardless of the type of polluter, which can be used for the future planning, and take procedures that limit groundwater pollution from surface activities. The Gharb water table is an important source of drinking and irrigation water in the Gharb plain. Population growth and industrial and agricultural activities have resulted in the effects of contaminated materials contributing to the degradation of water quality. The results showed a vulnerability of groundwater contamination in the Gharb aquifer using the Drastic model, that most of the areas were classified as low to medium vulnerability to pollution, except for the coastal and southern areas of the groundwater as the areas most vulnerable to pollution. |
