| المستخلص: | إن ملامح "هوية" تأريخ السيرة الذاتية بارزة في هذا العمل إذ سردت المؤلفة حنان الذكريات الشخصية لوالدتها "كاملة"، جاعلة إياها البطلة الرئيسة لهذه السيرة. وتاليا، شكل السرد الشفوي مصدر المعلومات والوقائع والتواريخ، وتم التركيز فيه على وصف تتابع الأجيال، وحياة الريف، والأوضاع العامة في بيروت الكولونيالية والترقي إلى الطبقة الوسطى وغيرها. ويبقى السؤال عن الآثار التي محتها كاملة/ والراوية في سردهما عن قصد أو من دون قصد بخاصة أن فكرة السرد الجامع الشامل هي فكرة مستحيلة إنشائيا، فكل سرد يحوي بالضرورة بعدا انتقائيا. وهنا كان بإمكان الراوية "حنان" أن تشرك عدة أطراف ليسردوا بأنفسهم، بحيث إن ذاكرة كل واحد منهم تجد النجدة في ذاكرة الآخرين. The features of the "identity" of biographical history are prominent in this work, as the author Hanan recounts the personal memories of her mother, Kamila, making her the main heroine of this biography. Subsequently, the oral narrative becomes the source of information, facts, and dates, focusing on describing the succession of generations, rural life, general conditions in colonial Beirut, and the rise to the middle class, among other themes. The question lingers about the traces that Kamila and the narrator may have erased in their narratives, intentionally or unintentionally. This is particularly significant since the idea of a comprehensive, all-encompassing narrative is structurally impossible, as every narrative inherently contains a selective dimension. In this context, the narrator, "Hanan," could have involved several parties to tell their own stories, so that the memory of each one could find support in the memories of others.
