| المستخلص: | يسود العداء في العلاقات الأنجلو-فرنسية منذ الغزو النورماندي لإنجلترا، بسبب احتفاظ ملوك إنجلترا النورمانديين بممتلكاتهم الشاسعة في غرب فرنسا ورفض البريطانيين الاستمرار في حكم هذه الممتلكات باعتبارها فصولا لملك فرنسا. تهدأ ملوك فرنسا وعملوا على طرد ملوك إنجلترا من ممتلكاتهم في الأراضي الفرنسية، في حين تشبث الإنجليز بهذه الممتلكات وعملوا على الاحتفاظ بها، مما أدى إلى اندلاع حروب بين الجانبين، ووقعت عدة معارك بينهم. يتناول هذا البحث حلقة من الصراع الممتد بين فرنسا من جهة وإنجلترا وحلفائها من جهة ومن جهة أخرى في الربع الأول من القرن الثالث عشر الميلادي، وتمثل هذا الصراع في معركة بوفين، التي اندلعت في ٢٧ يوليو ١٢١٤ م، وكانت الدراسة بعنوان "دور فرنسا في مواجهة التحالف معركة بوفين الأنجلو-ألمانية ١٢١٤ م. ولن يركز الباحث على معركة بوفين من حيث الدوافع والأحداث، بقدر التركيز على الدور الفرنسي في مواجهة التحالف الذي شكله ملك إنجلترا وحلفاؤه.
