| المستخلص: | نظرا لأهمية مكافحة ظاهرة المخدرات في المجتمع السعودي، تم إجراء هذه الدراسة لفهم الواقع الحالي لهذه الظاهرة واستعراض جهود علاج المدمنين في مجمع إرادة الطبي. كما استهدفت إلقاء الضوء على تجارب الدول الأخرى في التصدي لهذه الآفة والتعرف على السبل الفعالة للحد من انتشارها. وقد أسفرت نتائج الدراسة إلى عدة مقترحات وتوصيات تهدف إلى تعزيز جهود مكافحة الإدمان. من بين هذه التوصيات، ضرورة إجراء دراسة استقصائية شاملة حول الإدمان على مستوى المملكة لفهم أبعادها بشكل أفضل. ومقترحات حول تعديل نظام مكافحة المخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية بالاستناد إلى القوانين والتجارب الناجحة في دول أخرى، بالإضافة إلى ذلك أوصت الدراسة باستحداث عيادات متخصصة داخل المستشفيات لعلاج المدمنين بواسطة العقاقير حيث يبقى المدمن في المستشفى إلى حين سحب المواد المخدرة بشكل تام وانتهاء الأعراض الإنسحابية. كما اقترحت أيضا إنشاء مركز لعلاج وتأهيل المدمنين حيث يتم تحويل المريض إليه بعد الانتهاء من العلاج، على أن تستمر فترة التأهيل مدة لا تقل عن ستة أشهر. تأتي هذه التوصيات في إطار جهود المملكة العربية السعودية لحماية شبابها من تأثيرات الإدمان والمساهمة في تحقيق التنمية المجتمعية والاقتصادية المستدامة. Given the importance of combating the drug addiction phenomenon in Saudi society, this study was conducted to understand the current status of this phenomenon and to review the efforts in treating addicts at the Irada Medical Complex. It also aimed to shed light on the experiences of other countries in addressing this scourge and identifying effective ways to curb its spread. The study's results yielded several recommendations aimed at enhancing efforts to combat addiction. Among these recommendations is the necessity of conducting a comprehensive nationwide survey on addiction to better comprehend its dimensions. Additionally, proposals were made regarding the modification of the drug control and mental health system, drawing inspiration from the laws and successful experiences of other countries. Furthermore, the study recommended the establishment of specialized clinics within hospitals for medication-assisted treatment of addicts, where addicts remain in the hospital until complete drug withdrawal and the cessation of withdrawal symptoms. It also suggested the creation of a dedicated treatment and rehabilitation center for addicts, to which patients are referred after completing their treatment, with a rehabilitation period lasting no less than six months. These recommendations are in line with the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to protect its youth from the effects of addiction and contribute to the achievement of sustainable societal and economic development. |
