| المستخلص: | هذه الدراسة تبين أهمية تدريس مادة الاستماع والفهم في قسم اللغة الإنجليزية باعتبارها إحدى المهارات المهمة في فهم اللغة المتحدث بها، وهذه الدراسة تبين فشل طلبة قسم اللغة الإنجليزية في فهم المحادثات عند استماعهم لمتحدثي اللغة في مواقف واقعية مختلفة، وهذه الدراسة ما هي إلا مجهود بسيط لتحديد تلك المشكلات التي تواجه الطلبة في تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية من خلال هذه المهارة الرئيسية، وتحقق هذه الدراسة في المشكلات الخاصة في مادة الاستماع والفهم لطلبة السنة الأولي والسنة الثانية بقسم اللغة الإنجليزية بجامعة الجبل الغربي غريان. تم تجميع البيانات الخاصة بمشاكل الاستماع والفهم لأولئك الطلبة عن طريق استبيان خاص للطلبة وتم تحليل تلك البيانات حيث تم التوصل إلى أن الأسباب الرئيسية وراء تلك المشكلات هي حاجة الطلاب الملحة لبرامج وخطط مكثفة في مادة الاستماع والفهم. This study investigates the importance of teaching listening comprehension in English department as one of the most important skills in understanding spoken language. The students of English department fail to understand conversations when they face speakers in real – life situations this study is an attempt to identify the problems that encounter students learning English through this fundamental skill. The study investigated the listening comprehension difficulties of first and second year students of English language studying at the Al jabel Al garabi University in Gharian. Data was collected regarding to the listening comprehension difficulties Of these students by means of using a short questionnaire. The analyses of the data conclude that the reasons behind the listening difficulties are due to the students lacking effective listening strategies. |
