| المستخلص: | إذا كانت هناك أماكن يفضلها قلم J.M.G Le Clézio، فإن الجزيرة تكون حتما أبرزها، وهذا يتخطى نطاق السيرة الذاتية المرتبط بماضيه العائلي. La Quarantaine هي إحدى رواياته التي ترتبط فيها البيئة الجزيرية بموضوع المنفى، وذلك من اللحظة التي تكون فيها جماعة من بعض الأوروبيين وغالبية من الهنود العاملين، بعيدة، معزولة وموضوعة تحت الحجر في بلايت وهي جزيرة لا تبعد كثيرا عن جزيرة موريشيوس من المؤكد أنها مكان جغرافي ومرجعي، إلا أنها غارقة في الخيال والافتراض. في هذا المقال سنقوم بتفحص الكيفية التي تعمل بها البيئة الجزيرية لضبط (إعادة ضبط) وتشكيل الإطار الزماني والمكاني للمنفى. وإذا كانت الجزيرة مواتية للمنفى، فإنها أيضاً قادرة على أن تتيح للمنفي فرصة لتغذية الروح، لولادة جديدة. If there are spaces prized by the pen of J.M.G Le Clézio, the island is widely one of them, and this goes beyond the biographical determinations linked to his family past. La Quarantaine is one of his novels where the insular setting is connected to the theme of exile, from the moment when a group of a few Europeans and a majority of Indian Coolies is distanced, isolated and quarantined on Plate, an island located just a stone’s throw from Mauritius. It is, indeed, a geographical and referential space but steeped in imagination and fiction. This article will focus on visiting the way in which the insular setting (re) configures and shapes the chronotope of exile. And if the island is conducive to exile, it is also likely to offer the exile a possibility of a viaticum, of a rebirth S’il y a des espaces prisés par la plume de J.M.G Le Clézio, l’île en fait largement partie, et ce, au-delà des déterminations biographiques liées à son passé familial. La quarantaine est l’un de ses romans où l’espace insulaire est raccordé à la thématique de l’exil à partir du moment où un groupe de quelques Européens et d’une majorité de coolies indiens est éloigné, isolé et mis en quarantaine sur Plate, une île située à quelques encablures de l’île Maurice. Il s’agit, certes, d’un espace géographique et référentiel, mais pétri d’imaginaire et de fiction. Il sera question dans cet article de visiter la manière dont l’espace insulaire (re) configure et façonne le chronotope de l’exil. Et si l’île est propice à l’exil, elle est aussi susceptible d’offrir à l’exilé une possibilité d’un viatique, d’une renaissance. |
