| المستخلص: | تدرس هذه الورقة أربعة قوائم للتصنيف العالمي للجامعات الأكثر شهرة وانتشارا، وذلك من حيث مناسبة تلك التصنيفات لجامعات أقل الدول نموا، والغرض من ذلك هو معرفة ما إذا كانت تلك التصنيفات تساعد في تحقيق الأهداف من الجامعات في أقل الدول نموا، وما إذا كانت تلك التصنيفات تعكس الدور الذي تلعبه تلك الجامعات في دولها ومجتمعاتها. قامت الدراسة بإجراء التحليل الإحصائي الأولي لموقع الجامعات من أقل الدول نموا في التصنيفات العالمية محل الدراسة، وقامت الدراسة بإجراء تحليل أيضا لموقف الجامعات السودانية في التصنيفات العالمية حيث وجدت الدراسة أن تلك التصنيفات لا تمثل هذه الجامعات، وبشكل لا يوضح أثرها على مجتمعاتها أو أنشتطها التي تقوم بها. وأجرت الدراسة مقارنة بين الأهداف والأغراض التي من أجلها أنشئت تلك الجامعات، وبين المعايير التي تتخذها تلك التصنيفات. وخلصت الدراسة أن تلك التصنيفات وبمعاييرها الحالية، لا تناسب أغراض وأهداف تلك الجامعات ولا تساعدها في تطوير أنشطتها وأثرها على مجتمعاتها، أهمية هذه الدارسة إنها أوضحت أنه يجب عمل تصنيف للجامعات في الدول الأقل نموا يراعي الأهداف والأغراض التي أنشأت من أجلها هذه الجامعات. This paper studies four famous and widespread university rankings systems, in terms of the suitability of those rankings for universities in least developed countries (LDCs). The purpose of the study is to find out whether these rankings help in achieving the goals of universities in LDCs, and whether these rankings reflect The role these universities play in their countries and societies. The study conducted a pre- liminary statistical analysis of the position of universities from LDCs in the university rankings systems under study. Also analyzed the position of Sudanese universities in the university rankings systems, as the study found that these rankings do not represent these universities, in a way that does not explain their impact on their societies or their activities. The study made a comparison between the goals and purposes for which these universities were established, and the criteria adopted by these rankings. The study concluded that these rankings, according to their current standards, do not suit the purposes and objectives of these universities and do not help them develop their activities and their impact on their communities. The importance of this study it clarified that a universities rankings system which rank LDCs must be taken into account the goals and purposes for which these universities were established. |
