| المستخلص: | The current research aimed to shed light on the negative effects of networks or social media on both the child and the family in the Arab society. As a prelude to monitoring these effects, social media was discussed in terms of definition, objectives, and characteristics. The research also clarified how social media is used to commit electronic crimes, especially against children, adolescents and young adults. At the end of the research, a number of recommendations and proposals were presented that could contribute to strengthening the positives of social networks and overcoming their negatives or risks. Among the recommendations of the research: the family has an important role to play in proper socialization process and correct religious education for children, educating these children in a proper way about the pros and cons of social media, clarifying the dangers resulting from the bad use of these means, continuous follow-up with them, and ensuring positive and effective dialogue with them, and guiding them to use The right way to the Internet to protect them with browsers that allow safe browsing of the Internet and protect them from the danger of inappropriate sites that are widely spread on the Internet. |
