| المستخلص: | تستهدف هذه الورقة التعريف بتقنية تتبع حركة العين بوصفها منهجية بحثية فعالة في اللغويات التطبيقية؛ وذلك لاستقطاب التقنية واستخدامها في أبحاث اللسانيات التطبيقية العربية. وقد فصلت الورقة في التعريف بتقنية تتبع الإبصار (حركات العين)، وأشهر مقاييسها المستخدمة لتتبع تثبيتات البصر وتحركاته أثناء معالجة المهام اللغوية، وكشفت كذلك عما تخبرنا به مقاييس متتبع حركة العين أثناء معالجة الظواهر اللغوية، ووضحت قدرة أسلوب تتبع حركة العين في رفع دقة نتائج أبحاث اللغويات التطبيقية في عدة مجالات شملت دراسات اكتساب اللغة الثانية ومعالجتها، واكتساب المفردات ودراسات تصريف الكلمات، والمعالجة النحوية للنصوص المقروءة والمسموعة. وقد صنفت هذه الدراسات في ثلاث مجالات رئيسة شاع فيها استخدام منهجية تتبع الإبصار، تمثلت في دراسات المعالجة السمعية (الاستماع)، وفي دراسات معالجة النصوص المرئية (القراءة)، وفي دراسات المعالجة السمعية البصرية المتزامنة. وفي القسم الأخير من الورقة فصلت الجوانب العملية لإجراء أبحاث تتبع حركة العين، ومناقشة العوامل التي ينبغي مراعتها عند تصميم التجارب وإجراء الدراسات. وبعد توضيح الميزات الخاصة بمنهجية تتبع حركة العين وتفردها عن كثير من المنهجيات في أبحاث فهم اللغة الأولى والثانية، وقدرتها على تمكين الباحثين من الحصول على حساب مفصل، متعدّد البيانات للعمليات المتضمنة في القراءة الطبيعية، أوصت الورقة باستقطاب التقنية بوصفها أداة بحثية متقدمة في مجال اللغويات التطبيقية؛ لمواكبة تحديث منهجيات أبحاث اللغويات العربية ورفع دقة النتائج. This paper aims to introduce eye-tracking technology as an effective research methodology in applied linguistics. This is to attract technology and use it in Arabic applied linguistics research. The paper detailed the definition of the eye-tracking technique, and its most famous measures used to track eye fixations and movements during the processing of linguistic tasks. It also revealed what the eye movement tracker measures tell us during the processing of linguistic phenomena. Then, the paper demonstrated the ability of the eye movement tracking method to raise the accuracy of the results of applied linguistics research in several areas: including studies of second language acquisition and processing, vocabulary acquisition, studies of word conjugation and grammatical processing of read and audio texts (printed/ print vs. non-print texts). These studies have been categorized into three main areas in which the methodology of eye-tracking has been commonly used: studies of auditory processing (listening), studies of visual word processing (reading), and studies of simultaneous auditory and visual processing. In the last, the practical aspects of conducting eye-tracking research are detailed, and factors that should be taken into account when designing experiments and conducting studies are discussed. After clarifying the advantages of the methodology and its uniqueness in first and second language comprehension research, and its ability to enable researchers to obtain a detailed, multi-data account of the processes involved in natural reading, the paper recommended attracting the technology as an advanced research tool in the field of applied linguistics. To keep pace with the modernization of Arabic linguistics research methodologies and raise the accuracy of the results. |
