This paper deals with the elements of heroism in the orientalist discourse related to the biography of the Prophet Muhammad, as he is the one who created a strong fusion between monotheism and the tribal politics of the Arabs, which enabled him to achieve political unity among the tribes, according to Michael Cook. In this sense, he is a political hero. Religiously, the Prophet Muhammad revived the religion of Ibrahim al-Hanaif, and in this context, Louis Massignon and Bassetti Sani discussed the features of that. As for socially, Orientalists such as Hubert Grimm and Fred Donner demonstrated the aspects of social reform in the life of the Prophet Muhammad. |
