المستخلص:من هو "مضحك الملك"؟ متى ظهر وكيف تطور؟ لماذا اختفي من البلاط الملكي الفرنسي طويلا قبل اختفاء العائلة المالكة في فرنسا؟ هل تعد حقا هذه الشخصية الفريدة من نوعها في بعض الأحيان بديلا للملك؟ هل يمكننا في حالة مثل حالة مضحك الملك التحدث عن هويته، وأية هوية نعني؟ وهل لشخصيته ما يماثلها في التراث العربي والشرقي أم أنها خاصية ثقافية غربية؟ في نهج على مفترق الطرق بين الحضارة والدراسات المقارنة، سيحاول هذا البحث الإجابة على هذه الأسئلة وسيحاول أيضا تتبع ملامح هذه الشخصية غير واضحة المعالم والتي هي "مضحك الملك".

What or who is the "king's jester"? When did he appear and how did he evolve? Why did he disappear from the French court before the fall of the monarchy in France? Could he really be considered as the alter ego of the monarch? Can we stipulate the notion of identity when he is concerned and if so, which identity? Does he have an equivalent in the Arabic and oriental tradition, or is he a particular occidental trait? In an historical and comparative approach, this study aims to shed light on these reflections, and also aspires to sketch the-portrait of this misty figure incarnated by the "king's jester".

Qu'est-ce qu'un "fou du roi"? Quand est-il apparu et comment a-t-il évolué? Pourquoi a-t-il disparu de la cour royale bien avant la disparition de la royauté en France ? Est- il véritablement un alter ego du roi? Peut-on toujours parler d'identité, en ce qui le concerne, et quelle identité? A-t-ilun équivalent dans la tradition arabe et orientale ou est-il une particularité culturelle occidentale ? Dans une approche au carrefour de l'histoire et du comparatisme, cette étude tente de répondre à ces questionnements tout en essayant de retracer les contours de cette image floue qu'est le "fou du roi".
