| المستخلص: | نتيجة التطور الهائل في مجال تقنية المعلومات وسرعة الاتصال والتواصل بين الناس، وبالرغم مما يحمله من مزايا جمة؛ إلا أنه لم يقتصر على الاستخدام السليم والمفيد، هذا التطور التقني الكبير إذ لا يمكن اليوم إنكار مساوئ وسائط التواصل الاجتماعي من حيث ارتكاب الجرائم على الأصعدة كافة، ومنها جريمتا القذف والسب عبر الوسائط الإلكترونية بل وتعد أشهرها، وقد خلفت هذه الوسائط الإلكترونية طيفا جديدا من المجرمين يسمى مجرمي المعلومات، وهم غالبا من فئة صغار السن أو الشباب، ونتيجة لحداثة السن مع وجود هذه التقنية الحديثة خلق جيل مشوه في بعض الأحيان إذ وجب على السلطات الأمنية والشرطية وضع ضوابط وقوانين تحمي هؤلاء الشباب من أنفسهم أولا، ثم تحمي المجتمع من جرائمهم ثانيا، وهذا ما سنتطرق إليه خلال هذا البحث حيث سنتناول موضوع جريمتي السب والقذف عبر الوسائط الإلكترونية.
