| المستخلص: | Social protection policies in Algeria have undergone reforms in particular since the beginning of this century. However, despite all efforts, this sector is still struggling to find its place and is encountering essentially financial difficulties, as well as the extension of the sector informal which constitutes real shortfall for Social Security (SS). This article aims to study the processes of institutional transformations, the modalities of functioning of social protection, as well as the processes of structural transformations of the SS experienced by Algeria. In an analytical approach, our study resumes the trajectory of the Algerian SS from its emergence until the last reforms experienced by the SS regime, the most significant transformations of the sector and above all highlight the various stakeholders and components of the present system, and highlight the difficulties facing the SS sector in Algeria. Les politiques de protection sociale en Algérie ont connu des réformes notamment depuis le début de ce siècle. Malgré les efforts fournis, ce secteur peine toujours à trouver sa place et rencontre des difficultés essentiellement financières. Par ailleurs, l’expansion du secteur informel qui constitue un véritable manque à gagner pour la sécurité sociale. L’article a pour objectif d’étudier les processus de transformations institutionnelles, les modalités de fonctionnement des systèmes de protection sociale, ainsi que les processus de transformations structurelles de la sécurité sociale (SS) qu’a connu l’Algérie. Dans une approche analytique, il reprend la trajectoire de la SS algérienne de son émergence jusqu’à la dernière réforme structurelle qu’a connu ce secteur et ses transformations les plus marquantes. Il s’agit de mettre en relief les différents intervenants et les composants du présent système, tout en mettant en avant les difficultés auxquelles est confronté le secteur de la SS en Algérie |
