| المستخلص: | تعد الحقائق المتعلقة بالسكان ذات أهمية بالغة عند وضع السياسات الخاصة بالإسكان، فكلما زاد حجم السكان وتطور عددهم ظهرت الحاجة إلى وحدات سكنية جديدة، وبما أن السكان يزدادون بخطوات كبيرة تفوق التوسع في بناء الوحدات السكنية، وقد برزت مشكلة السكن في مدننا العراقية بسبب زيادة عدد السكان والمشكلات الاقتصادية التي تضعف القدرة الشرائية لدى السكان وغياب الخطط التي تأخذ بنظر الاعتبار الجوانب والاجتماعية والاقتصادية، فقد سهام ذلك في ظهور الحاجة الإسكانية، وهذا الحال يكون في الدول النامية والمتقدمة على حدا سواء وليس فقط في منطقة البحث، وهنا تطرقت إلى دراسة مدينة الرمادي من حيث حجم السكان ومعدلات نموهم وتوزيعهم على الأحياء السكنية وبيان كثافتهم على الوحدة المساحية لكل حي.
