| 520 | |b With increasing competition, cement companies are facing many challenges to produce quality cement. The intensive demand of the local market forces them to acquire adequate strategies to increase their performance levels and to meet the normative specifications in force. The implementation of an ISO 9001 type certification allows to reach a high level of conformity to the required quality requirements. At present, many Algerian building materials companies are engaged in an upgrading process based on certification to the ISO 9001 quality management system. This article analyses the impact of quality management systems and their certification on the performance indicators of companies in the construction sector, particularly in the case of cement plants. This will allow to understand the stakes and to have a better perception of the Quality Reference System put in place. This article also tests the set of hypotheses relating to the impact of quality certification on organisational, operational and economic performance using data from a cross- sectional study carried out at the Hamma Bouziane Cement Company, a subsidiary of the GICA group. Our analysis serves to analyse the qualitative data and verify the hypotheses. Our findings show that there is a significant and positive relationship between ISO 9001 quality certification and the company's performance as well as a cause and effect relationship between the requirements and basic principles of ISO 9001 and the potential benefits of obtaining this standard. |d A l’instar des entreprises du secteur BTP, les cimenteries sont confrontées à de nombreux défis pour réaliser un ciment de qualité. La demande intensive du marchés local, les obligeant à acquérir des stratégies adéquates, afin d’accroître leurs niveaux de performance et pour répondre aux spécifications normatives en vigueur. L’implémentation d’une certification type ISO 9001 permet d’atteindre un niveau de conformité élevé aux exigences qualitatives requises. Actuellement, de nombreuses entreprises Algériennes de matériaux de construction s’engagent dans une démarche de mise à niveau basée sur la certification au système de management de la qualité ISO 9001. Cet article analyse 1’ impacts des systèmes de management de la qualité et de leur certification dans les indicateurs de performance des entreprises du secteur BTP, en particulier dans le cas des cimenteries. Ceci permettra de comprendre les enjeux et d’avoir une meilleure perception du Référentiel Qualité mis en place. Cet article aussi teste l’ensemble des hypothèses relative à l’impact de la certification qualité sur la performance organisationnelle opérationnelle et économique en utilisant des données dans une étude transversale réalisée à la Société du Ciment Hamma Bouziane filiale du groupe GICA. Notre analyse sert à analyser les données qualitatives et vérifier les hypothèses. Nos constatations montrent qu’il existe une relation significative et positive entre la certification qualité ISO 9001 et la performance de la société aussi une relation de type cause à effet entre les exigences et les principes de base de l’ISO 9001 et les avantages potentiels découlant de l’obtention de cette norme. | ||
