| المستخلص: | تهدف الدراسة إلى تقديم حقائق تاريخية إلى القـارئ العربي والمدرسة الأكاديمية، وللمهتمين بالشأن التاريخي والعلاقات الدولية، فأن المتتبع لسير الأحداث خلال الحرب الباردة يرصد نشاط الولايـات المتحدة الأمريكية في المنطقة العربية ومحاولاتها الدائمة والمتكررة في تكريس الهيمنة الإسرائيلية عـلى الأراضي العربي في فلسطين وجنوب لبنان، ومن هذا المنطلق تقدم الدراسة حقائق على العلاقات الأمريكية- الإسرائيلية وتأثيرها على لبنان في سياقها التاريخي بين عامي 1964-1967، فقد أقدمت واشنطن على تسليح إسرائيل بالمعدات العسكرية الحديثة آنذاك، والوقوف إلى جانبها وبشكل غير مباشر في حرب عـام 1967، حيث أسهمت المساعدات الأمريكية لإسرائيل في تفكيك الواقع السياسي والحزبي في لبنان بسبب انقسام الرأي العام فيها بين معارض للسياسة الأمريكية أعلاه وتبنتها الأحزاب والقوى التقدمية والإسلامية، وبين مؤيد لها وتبنى هذه الرؤية الأحزاب والتيارات المسيحية، سلط البحث الضوء على المساعدات الأمريكية لإسرائيل وتأثيرها على لبنان سياسيا واقتصاديا بقدر تعلق الأمر بفترة الدراسة. تكمن أهمية هذا البحث في دراسة جانب مهم من العلاقـات الأمريكية الإسرائيلية في فترة يعيش فيها العـام العـربي صراعـات وتغيرات متصاعدة على كافة الجوانب السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية. حيث كانت الولايـات المتحدة الأمريكية على وعي وأدراك للخلافت العربية القائمة وجدت فيها إسرائيل الفرصة لتغيير الوضع الراهن وخلق واقع جديـد تفـرض فيه كيانهـا كادولـة ذات شرعية في الوطن العربي. ويسلط البحث الضوء على حقيقة الموقف الأمريكي من أحداث عام 1967م وصراع الإسرائيلي العـربي وتأثيره على الواقع اللبناني، بالإضافة لأهمية هذا البحث أنه يعتمد على الوثائق الأمريكية والعربية التـي تعزز من البنـاء الأكاديمي للدراسة وتكشف الحقائق التاريخية المجردة. تعتمد الدراسة على المنهج التاريخـي والتحليـلي للعلاقات الأمريكية الإسرائيلية في فترة تاريخية معينة من خلال اعتمادها على المصادر والوثائق التي تساعد على تقديم دراسة أكاديمية موثقة وشاملة لتتبع سير الحدث التاريخي. توصل البحث لعـدد من النتائـج تعرض كما يلي: شكلت الصراعات السياسية داخل الدول العربية والمحيطة بإسرائيـل. فرصة لإسرائيـل لتحقيـق أطماعها التوسعية. حاجة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في تلـك المرحلة لدعم دولي لسياستها الخارجية بعد تورطها في حرب فيتنام. وبالأخـص حاجة الرئيس الأمريكي ليندون جونسون لتأييـد داخـلي أكثر خاصة من الجماعات اليهودية بسبب سيطرتها على وسائل الأعلام الأمريكي. رأت الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في إسرائيل ذخيرة استراتيجية ضد حركات التحـرر والاستقلال الوطنـي في الشرق الأوسط. قـوة النفـوذ اليهودي على البيت الأبيـض والخارجية الأمريكيـة خاصة في عهد أدارة الرئيس ليندون جونسون. وتكشف الوثائـق ارتباط إسرائيل بعلاقات قوية مع الاستخبارات الأمريكية. توصلت الدراسة إلى أن صنع القرار الأمريكي يقع تحت تأثـير كثـير من الأطراف كاجماعات الضغط، وأجهزة الاستخبارات واوسائل الأعلام والرأي العام وتسهم في تشكيل السياسة الخارجية للولايـات المتحـدة الأمريكية. An opportunity for Israel to achieve its expansionary ambitions. The need of the United States of America at that stage to international support for its foreign policy after its involvement in the Vietnam War.
