| المستخلص: | يتناول هذا البحث الجهود التي تبذلها ولا زالت تبذلها الحكومة الكينية بشأن إصلاح التعليم الإسلامي في كينيا مع الإشارة إلى التحديات التي تقف دون تحقيق الأهداف التي تم وضعها لتنفيذ الإصلاح الحقيقي للتعليم الإسلامي في البلاد. وينقسم البحث إلى مقدمة وثلاثة مباحث. وتتناول المقدمة -بإيجاز -ما يتضمنه التعليم الإسلامي في كينيا بما في ذلك مستوياتها وأنواع المدارس التي توفر هذا التعليم والمواد التي تدرس فيها. أما المحور الأول فإنه يتناول أهم الهيئات الحكومية ودورها في إصلاح التعليم الإسلامي في البلاد. وتتمثل تلك الهيئات في وزارة التربية والتعليم ومعهد كينيا لتطوير المناهج الدراسية ومجلس الامتحانات الوطني الكيني ولجنة خدمة المعلمين إذ أن الوزارة هي الجهة المعنية بالإشراف العام على نظام التعليم في البلد بينما يعنى معهد كينيا لتطوير المناهج الدراسية بوضع واستعراض وإجازة وتقييم المناهج الدراسية في جميع المراحل التعليمية دون المرحلة الجامعية، ومجلس الامتحانات الوطني الكيني هي الجهة المسؤولة عن وضع الامتحانات النهائية في جميع مراحل التعليم دون الجامعة ولجنة خدمة المعلمين هي الجهة المعنية بتطبيق المناهج الدراسية من خلال توفير المعلمين لجميع المدارس والمعاهد العامة أي التابعة للحكومة. This research discusses the efforts expended by the government of Kenya in reforming Islamic education in Kenya, as well as the challenges faced in the realization of the goals set for the implementation of the actual reform of Islamic education in the country. The research paper is divided into sections; namely: introduction and four sections. The introduction discusses –briefly- what constitutes Islamic education in Kenya, including its various stages and the types of schools that offer Islamic education, as well as the subjects taught. Section one discusses the important key government bodies and their roles in reforming education in the country, including Islamic education. These include the Ministry of Education, the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). The Ministry of Education is responsible for the overall supervision of the education system in the country while the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) is incharge of preparing, reviewing, approving and evaluating curricula for all the levels of education below the university level. On its part, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is the body charged with the responsibility of setting and marking the final national examinations as well as issuing academic certificates to candidates at all levels of education except at the university level. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is responsible for implementing the curriculum through recruiting and deploying teachers to all schools and public (government) colleges and institutes. |
