The development paradigms regularly shifted over the years. This appeared to be clear in the case of Sudan. This paper attempts to demonstrate this issue by using literature reviews and participant observation. It addresses the various categories, as they exist in the daily life of the pastoral groups in Sudan as well as the attempt of the different elites, who are exponents of sedentary civilization. They attempted to settle them by forcing them to join the semi-mechanized schemes. They concluded that the pastoralists are unwilling to change, with especial reference to the southern Blue Nile region. | ||
