| المستخلص: | تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي أصبحت جزء لا يتجزأ من حياتنا اليومية، فبإمكان هذه التقنيات أن تساهم في دعم الخدمات في مختلف المؤسسات في الدولة، ولذلك يعمل المتخصصون على تطبيقات أكثر طموحا للذكاء الاصطناعي والتي بدورها ستحدث ثورة في جميع أعمالنا اليومية، المكتبات ومراكز المعلومات تأثرت أيضا بتطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي لاسيما المكتبات الأكاديمية، لذلك تهدف الدراسة إلى معرفة الدور الذي تقوم به تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي في دعم وتطوير خدمات المكتبات الأكاديمية بشكل عام وفي دولة الكويت بوجه خاص. تعتبر هذه الدراسة من البحوث النوعية، وقد تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي والذي يهدف إلى جمع الحقائق والبيانات عن موقف معين ومحاولة تفسير هذه الحقائق ثم تصنيفها وتحليلها للوصول لتعميمات لهذا الموقف، وللحصول على البيانات المطلوبة لتحقيق هدف البحث، اعتمدت الدراسة المقابلة شبه المنظمة مع أصحاب القرار والمسئولين في إدارة المكتبات بجامعة الكويت لمعرفة مدى استخدام تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي في دعم الخدمات الإلكترونية في مكتباتها. وضحت نتائج الدراسة أن هناك قصورا وضعفا في استخدامات الذكاء الاصطناعي في مكتبات جامعة الكويت بشكل ملحوظ، كما أشارت نتائج الدراسة لتحديات تواجه إدارة المكتبات في تطبيق واستخدام تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي كان أبرزها قلة وعي العاملين، ومقاومة كبيرة للتغيير، وقلة الميزانية. في الختام، قدمت الدراسة توصيات قد تساهم بدورها في تفعيل دور تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي في دعم وتطوير خدمات المكتبات الأكاديمية في دولة الكويت. Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have become integral part of our daily lives, and these technologies can contribute to supporting services in various places in the country. Therefore, specialists are working on more ambitious applications of AI which could revolutionize all our daily work. Libraries and information centers have also been affected by AI applications especially academic libraries, for that, the study aims to identify the role played by artificial intelligence techniques in supporting and developing of academic library services in general, and in the State of Kuwait particularly. This study considered qualitative research, where descriptive approach was used to collect facts and data about a specific situation. Furthermore, it is trying to interpret these facts, categorize and analyze them to reach generalizations for this situation. In order to obtain data required and to achieve research aim, study adopted a semi-structured interview with decision-makers in Kuwait University (KU) library administration. this tool was used to find out the usage of AI applications in supporting electronic services in KU libraries. The results show that, there is a significant shortcoming and weakness in using of artificial intelligence in KU libraries. Furthermore, findings indicate that there are challenges facing library management in applying and using AI applications. Most notably of these challenges are lack of workers awareness, great resistance to change, and lack of budget. Lastly, the study presented recommendations that may contribute to activating the role of artificial intelligence applications in supporting and developing academic library services in the State of Kuwait. |
