These adaptations, when they do not respect the health measures or when they only partially respect them, are often denounced, particularly by the authorities and by the media. Their discourse emphasises the irrational behaviour of citizens. We find here a classic position discussed by the anthropology of disease concerning the ability of populations to take charge of their health and their room for manoeuvre in relation to the medical authorities. The text insists on the contextual rationality of individual behaviour in the face of the epidemic itself, if they do not respect health measures in their entirety. It describes the logic of ordinary behaviour and suggests paying attention to it rather than stigmatising it, even and especially if it is a question of changing it. This article is based on fieldwork conducted in Khénifra (Middle Atlas) during the months of July, August, September and October 2020, including the observation of behaviours in the public or semi-public space (especially cafes), in shops and administrations (at least their counters) as well as interviews (N=25) or conversations with several people (N=5) in a context of participatory observation. |d La Covid-19 a donné lieu à des adaptations comportementales incluant les mesures sanitaires prises par les autorités afin d'éviter la propagation de l'épidémie. Ces adaptations, lorsqu'elles ne respectent pas les mesures sanitaires ou lorsqu'elles ne les respectent que partiellement sont souvent décriées, notamment par les autorités et par les médias. Leur discours insiste sur le comportement irrationnel des citoyens. On retrouve ici une position classique discutée par l'anthropologie de la maladie concernant l'aptitude des populations à prendre en charge leur santé et leurs marges de manœuvres par rapport aux autorités médicales. Le texte insiste sur la rationalité contextuelle des comportements individuels face à l'épidémie même, s'ils ne respectent pas dans leur intégralité les mesures sanitaires. Il décrit la logique des comportements ordinaires et suggère de prêter attention à ceux-ci plutôt que de les stigmatiser, même et surtout s'il s'agit de les modifier. Cet article est basé sur un travail de terrain conduit à Khénifra (Moyen- Atlas) durant les mois de juillet, d'août, de septembre et d'octobre 2020, comprenant l'observation des conduites dans I espace public ou semi-public (et notamment les cafés), dans les commerces et les administrations (tout au moins leurs guichets) ainsi que des entretiens (N=25) ou des conversations à plusieurs (N=5) dans un contexte d'observation participante. | ||
