| 520 | |b The study examines the socio-demographic characteristics and living conditions of female heads of households. The data from the MICS6 survey are exploited by means of a descriptive study of a classification using the two-step cluster method, these data are supplemented by those from a field survey at the level of the municipality of Oran. The results indicate that the proportion of female heads of households remains low; these women are characterized by high ages, low levels of education, very low economic activity and more than two-thirds of these women are widowed. Their households are characterized by a small size by contribution to those headed by men and finally these women are classified into two subgroups, one of which appears vulnerable. |d L’étude examine les caractéristiques sociodémographiques et les conditions de vie des femmes chefs de ménage. Les données de l’enquête MICS6 sont exploitées à l’aide d’une étude descriptive te d’une classification avec la méthode de Cluster Two-step, ces données sont complétées par celles d’une enquête de terrain au niveau de la commune d’Oran. Les résultats indiquent que la proportion des femmes chefs de ménage reste faible ; ces femmes sont caractérisées par des âges élevés, des niveaux d’instruction faibles, très faible activité économique et plus de deux tiers de ces femmes sont veufs. Leurs ménages se caractérisent par une faible taille par apport à celles dirigés par les hommes et enfin ces femmes sont classées en deux sous-groupes dont l’un est apparait vulnérable. | ||
