To do this, we will, in this article, study and analyze the scriptural and narrative processes that enabled the author to tackle a theme as complex as that of identity, especially when a person evolves in a multicultural environment. in contact with other foreign cultures. This is how Maalouf, with great ingenuity, recounts the encounter between two distinct civilizations, that of the East and that of the West. It is this same meeting which will constitute the nodal point of our reflection on intercultural matters. |d Porter une réflexion sur Les Échelles du levant d’Amin Maalouf, c’est tenter d’expliquer comment le contact des cultures et des civilisations peut influer sur l’identité d’une personne et sur sa vision de l’autre. Pour ce faire, nous allons, dans cet article, étudier et analyser les procédés scripturaux et narratifs qui ont permis à l’auteur d’aborder une thématique aussi complexe que celle de l’identité, notamment lorsque une personne évolue dans un milieu pluriculturel / au contact d’autres cultures étrangères. C’est ainsi que Maalouf, avec beaucoup d’ingéniosité, met en récit la rencontre entre deux civilisations distinctes, celle de l’Orient et celle de l’Occident. C’est cette même rencontre, qui constituera le point nodal de notre réflexion autour de l’interculturel. | ||
