L’art de perdre est un roman d’Alice Zeniter publié en 2017, il a obtenu des prix littéraires tels le prix littéraire du Monde 2017 et le prix Lander man des lecteurs 2017. Dans cet article, nous avons défini le terme « Harki » et sa signification sociale et politique. L’art de perdre comme titre désigne les harkis qui ont tout perdu à la fin par un art qui effeuille la morale, les coutumes et ruine le pays. L’image du père harki est le centre de notre intérêt, cette image qui a subi un bouleversement après la colonisation française de l’Algérie. Les héros pères sont remplacés par d’autres vu la situation de collaboration claire aux yeux de leurs enfants. La perte est l’hymne des harkis en France n’arrivant pas à rentrer en Algérie vu leur traitement comme traitres. Le roman cherche la compassion et la quête d’une voie pour la troisième génération qui veut vivre en paix loin du passé honteux.
