| 520 | |b The study aims to evaluate the electronic periodicals available on the Internet in the field of information and libraries in the Arab world by displaying samples of these periodicals. (6) Arab scientific periodicals in this field have been studied in terms of their conformity with the standards of the Ulrich Universal Directory for Periodicals. The study adopted a survey approach to answer the research questions raised by the study, and the study reached a set of results, the most important of which is that the Arab electronic periodicals in the field of libraries and information, the sample of the study, are completely consistent with the application of the standards of Ullrich Periodicals Directory with regard to (title, publisher and editor in chief, ISSN, country, Language, alternate form),In addition, the most electronic periodicals of the sample that comply with the standards of the Ulrich Directory are the journal of (Researches in Information Science and Libraries), followed by the (International Journal of Library and Information Sciences), and the least sample periodicals that conform to the standards of Ulrich Directory are (The Iraqi Journal of Information Studies and Documentation). The most important suggestion of the study is the need to pay attention to the electronic periodicals available on the Internet by the publishers or the authorities responsible for issuing them, so that each journal has its own independent site through which a direct access is provided to articles that they have prepared without entering implicit links indirectly to access the journal's website and then search for its articles which requires additional time and effort. | ||
