| المستخلص: | This paper aims to analyze and study the relationship between investment, sustainable development, and economic human rights in Iraq. Economic rights are one of the essential human rights ever. The current economic approach in Iraq is characterized by the existence of an uncontrolled market, inflation, and sagging of the state sector with mismanagement and inefficiency. During the last four decades of Iraq's modern history, specifically, since the change in 2003, it is noticeable that the general crisis in the country continues. The spread of corruption in the various joints of the state and the vast disparity in income and wealth resulted in the imbalance in the socio-economic structure, the high rate of unemployment, and the substantial negative repercussions on the lives of Iraqi citizens. These deteriorating conditions of the Iraqi economy need a process of reform and an integrated strategic vision to promote the national economy, achieving balanced and sustainable development. Therefore, this paper recommends the need to improve the investment climate and attention to small and medium Iraqi state following the dissolution of the army and security institutions and other departments, including those civil character. The people of Iraq continue to live in deplorable conditions, lacking essential services, including water, food, and electricity. Besides, their rights to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, education, peaceful assembly, association and freedom of expression, and even their fundamental right to life, have been jeopardized by the indiscriminate and destructive military operations carried out in the country. The expulsion of terrorist organizations from the country can offer a significant opportunity to change Iraq's development path towards sustainability and put economic human rights at its center. industries, pursuing policies that attain justice and equity. Also, strengthen and develop social safety nets to increase the enjoyment of the economic rights of Iraqi citizens. |
