It specifically evaluates the Libyan industrial companies usage of such techniques, applying them, and relying on them in decision making. A severe deficiency in practicing activities related to the usage of operations research in order to rationalize the decision making. There are some obstacles that hinder the process of using such techniques as a helpful device in decision making. These difficulties represented in non-familiarity of the top management of the Libyan industrial companies, with these techniques, and lacking recognition of the importance of such tools, in addition to the shortage of the specialists in operations research field. Finally, any attempt to put an end to such difficulties requires an action from top management of the industrial companies. That is, to draw a futuristic plan represented in instituting training courses whether local and /or abroad., related to operations research.
