| المستخلص: | Malika Mokeddem is a contemporary French-speaking writer who speaks about Algeria and the Algerian woman, referring to herself through female characters, in particular the heroines of her novels who give themselves as representative figures of the modern, independent, and rebellious woman against traditions and all kinds of injustice. In this article, we will apply literary onomastic to study the image of the protagonist Leïla in The Walking Men. The onomastic study of the proper name and denominations of the character allow us to unveil the writing mechanisms of the creation and reception of the character. As well as, the identification of the heroine as a system of characterization that gives meanings and values, to make a realistic representation inspired by the childhood and adolescence of Malika Mokeddem. The later, gives this novel its autofictional dimension. Malika Mokeddem est une écrivaine francophone contemporaine qui a raconté l’Algérie et la femme algérienne en se racontant, à travers des personnages féminins, notamment les héroïnes de ses romans, proposées comme des figures représentatives de la femme moderne, indépendante, révoltée et rebelle contre la tradition et toutes sortes d’injustice. Dans le présent article, nous allons nous référer à l’onomastique littéraire pour étudier l’image de l’héroïne Leïla dans Les hommes qui marchent, à partir du nom propre et des différentes appellations que lui donne l’auteure, pour dévoiler les mécanismes d’écriture qui permettent la création et la réception du personnage, et surtout l’identification de l’héroïne. Il s’agit d’un système de caractérisation qui charge la protagoniste de significations et de valeurs, ce qui en fait une représentation réaliste inspirée de l’enfance et l’adolescence de Malika Mokeddem, ce qui donne à ce roman sa dimension autofictionnelle. |
