| المستخلص: | Cyprus is in a state of conflict due to historical, geographical and economic factors. The island has always represented the importance of Djibouti for its location and its role in the Mediterranean, the extent of its influence on Turkey and Greece and on the international relations of the Eastern Mediterranean, and for its impact on the actors in the international arena. Geographical factors have imposed its presence in all those dimensions. Natural gas exploration in the northern part of Cyprus, after the US geological survey estimated that the gas store reached trillions of cubic meters of natural gas and billions of barrels of oil, and Turkey sent ships for exploration, especially after the Turkish-Libyan agreement that led to the expansion of Turkey's economic sphere of influence, and imports from the United Nations, the European Union and Greece Cyprus' exploration operations and considered the matter a violation of international law, while it considers this region uniquely part of the continental shelf and has even threatened to violate its rights in the Mediterranean by using force. The research questions the nature of the conflict in Cyprus and the role of international efforts to settle the matter, while the research aims to determine the role of geographical factors in the conflict and the nature of regional and international competition after the discovered gas and oil fields in the Middle East created a new path for conflict between the countries of the region with fears of the development of the multilateral conflict for a war Regional. تعيش قبرص حالة من الصراع بفعل عوامل تاريخية وجغرافية واقتصادية، فطالما مثلت الجزيرة أهمية جيبولوتيكية لموقعها ولدورها في المتوسط ولمدى تأثيرها على تركيا واليونان وعلى العلاقات الدولية لشرق المتوسط، ولتأثيرها على الفاعلين في الساحة الدولية وقد فرضت العوامل الجغرافية وجودها في كل تلك الأبعاد، فالتنقيب عن الغاز الطبيعي في الجزء الشمالي من قبرص بعد تقديرات المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكي أن مخزون الغاز يصل إلى تريليونات الأمتار المكعبة من الغاز الطبيعي ومليارات من براميل النفط، وأرسلت تركيا سفن للتنقيب خاصة بعد الاتفاق التركي الليبي الذي أدى لتوسع منطقة نفوذ تركيا الاقتصادية، وأدارت الأمم المتحدة والاتحاد الأوروبي واليونان وقبرص عمليات التنقيب واعتبرت الأمر انتهاك للقانون الدولي، في حين تعتبر انقره هذه المنطقة جزءا من الجرف القاري بل أنها هددت من المساس بحقوقها في المتوسط باستخدام القوة. ويتساءل البحث عن طبيعة الصراع في قبرص ودور الجهود الدولية لتسوية الأمر، في حين يهدف البحث لتحديد دور العوامل الجغرافية في الصراع وطبيعة التنافس الإقليمي والدولي بعد أن خلقت حقول الغاز والبترول المكتشفة في الشرق المتوسط مساراً جديداً للصراع بين دول المنطقة مع مخاوف تطور الصراع متعدد الأطراف لحرب إقليمية. |
