| المستخلص: | الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على سيدنا محمد خير خلق الله أجمعين وعلى آله وصحبة ومن تبعهم بإحسان إلى يوم الدين. أما بعد.. فإن أفضل العلوم وأشرفها، هو ما يتعلق بالقرآن الكريم، ومن هذه العلوم علم الوقف والابتداء، إذ يبين كيفية الوقف والابتداء في القرآن الكريم، وقراءة الآيات القرآنية بشكلها الصحيح، الذي سمعه الصحابة الكرام (رضوان الله عليهم) من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وقد اعتنت الأمة الإسلامية بهذا العلم المبارك منذ بعثة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، ومن هؤلاء العلماء الذين اهتموا بهذا العلم، الإمام موفق الدين أحمد بن يوسف الكواشي "ت 680ه" صاحب تفسير "التلخيص في تفسير القرآن العظيم" الذي كان بحق جامعاً لعلوم عدة، وكان من بين هذه العلوم علم الوقف والابتداء، وهو علم مستقل بذاته، ومن خلال هذا البحث عرفت الوقف والابتداء لغة واصطلاحاً، وبينت أنواعه، ووضحت بعض مواضع الوقف والابتداء في التفسير مع ذكر الأمثلة لكل موضع، ثم الخاتمة وأهم ما توصلت إليه من نتائج.
