| 520 | |a تمتعت حضرموت قديما بمكانة خاصة بين ممالك جنوب الجزيرة العربية وبين مناطق الشرق الأدنى القديم من خلال امتلاكها لعدد من الخصوصيات منها الموقع الجغرافي على الطرق التجارية العالمية والظروف الطبيعية والمناخية المتنوعة وكذا اشتغال أهلها بالحرف والمهن التجارية التي ساعدت على الازدهار الاقتصادي الذي شكل بذلك رافد مهم للتجارة إلى جانب ما كانت تستقبله موانئها من مواد وسلع من مناطق شبه القارة الهندية وأفريقيا وحوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط. وخلص البحث إلى أن تفنن الحضارمة واستغلالهم للعوامل الطبيعية من مياه وخصوبة الأرض والمناخ الملائم، فضلا إلى العوامل البشرية المتمثلة في الأيدي العاملة ووجود مجتمع متحضر ومستقر نتج عنه نمو في التحضر والرقي والثراء للإنسان الحضرمي القديم فقامت المدن والمراكز التجارية، وازدهر النشاط الاقتصادي وتنوعت الصناعات، فأدى ذلك إلى نمو قوتها العسكرية والاقتصادية، وأصبحت تلعب دور كبير بين الحضارات. | ||
