| المستخلص: | The box of wonders” was, perhaps, learned like a boring and disengaging novel, however no one can deny its historical value as a realistic testimony of the daily life of the old city of Fez during the first decade of the protectorate in Morocco. The work teaches us about the condition of women, alienated and submissive, in a patriarchal society that is opposed to any development of the personality. Superstition and witchcraft are generally the two elements associated with his image throughout history. La boite à merveilles » a été, peut-être, appris tel un roman ennuyeux et désengageant, cependant nul ne peut récuser sa valeur historique comme un témoignage réaliste de la vie quotidienne de la veille ville de Fès durant la première décennie du protectorat au Maroc. L’oeuvre nous renseigne sur la condition de la femme, aliénée et soumise, dans une société patriarcale qui s’oppose à tout épanouissement de la personnalité. La superstition et la sorcellerie sont généralement les deux éléments associés à son image au long de l’histoire. |
