| 520 | |b The elements of empowering women and promoting their rights are essential pillars to ensure the renaissance of human societies and to achieve sustainable development. The role of women in building society has increased. In the recent years, Egypt has witnessed remarkable progress in supporting women, and this is due to the political will to support women’s issues and the translation of constitutional rights into laws, strategies and executive programs submitted by governmental and non-governmental agencies. A suitable space and atmosphere were created for the concerted efforts of all segments of society, including academic, legislative and religious institutions, in addition to many advocates of empowering women and girls at all levels. Therefore, the Egyptian state has developed a national strategy to empower women politically, economically and socially and provide protection for women. The importance of women’s political empowerment and their participation in different levels of decision-making allows women to actively participate in planning and directing public policies in a way that serves not only gender equality, but also equality between all male and female citizens, in addition to Egypt’s ratification of international treaties and conventions. The aim is to enhance the contribution of women in public and political life, in addition to Egypt's participation in many conferences related to this. | ||
| 520 | |a تعد عناصر تمكين المرأة وتعزيز حقوقها ركائز أساسية لضمان نهضة المجتمعات الإنسانية ولتحقيق التنمية المستدامة ولقد تزايد دور المرأة في بناء المجتمع، وشهدت السنوات الأخيرة في مصر تقدماً ملحوظاً لتدعيم المرأة، ويرجع ذلك إلى الإرادة السياسية المساندة والداعمة لقضايا المرأة، وترجمة الحقوق الدستورية إلى قوانين واستراتيجيات وبرامج تنفيذية تقدمت بها جهات حكومية وغير حكومية، وتم خلق مساحة ومناخ مناسب لتضافر جهود كافة شرائح المجتمع من مؤسسات أكاديمية وتشريعية ودينية وذلك بالإضافة إلى العديد من الداعمين لتمكين النساء والفتيات على كافة الأصعدة. ولذا قامت الدولة المصرية بوضع استراتيجية وطنية لتمكين المرأة سياسياً واقتصادياً واجتماعياً وتوفير الحماية للمرأة. وتكمن أهمية تمكين المرأة سياسياً ومشاركتها في المستويات المختلفة لصنع واتخاذ القرار في أنها تتيح للمرأة التواجد بشكل فعال في تخطيط السياسات العامة وتوجيهها بشكل يخدم ليس فقط المساواة بين الجنسين بل أيضاً المساواة بين جميع المواطنين والمواطنات إلى جانب قيام مصر بالتصديق على المعاهدات والاتفاقيات الدولية الرامية لتعزيز مساهمة المرأة في الحياة العامة والسياسية إلى جانب مشاركة مصر في العديد من المؤتمرات الخاصة بذلك. | ||
