| المستخلص: | Cohesion is a linguistic phenomenon that plays a vital role in forming any text. so, it considered the semantic syntagmatic relationships between words. This study consists of three section and ends with some conclusions. Section one is talked about introductory. It gives a brief introduction about the whole subject in in addition to the problem, aims, hypotheses, procedures, limits and value of the study. Section two is talked about definition one of cohesion on a variety of linguistics. The third section is analytical some BBC essays to show the syntactic and semantic cohesive ties.
