| المستخلص: | Algerian popular poetry is a rich heritage that can be exploited by researchers from the various disciplines of the human and social sciences. The work of collecting and transcribing is the first step towards discovering thes documents. For that reason, the French who were in Algeria during the French colonization, devoted themselves to collecting and translating this poetry in the different regions of the country, taking into account the documentary value it offers. The African journal counts among its articles a big number of popular poems published by collaborators that responded to the mission of scientific exploration of the colonized country. In this article, we propose to study the texts translated into French of Algerian popular poetry published in the African journal, analysing the themes they develop, according to the genre of the poem. Through this thematic reading, we will analyze the expression of the colonized Algerian: his identity, his condition of colonized, his revolt as well as his daily life. As for the expression of the colonizer, it is revealed in the choice of published texts. La poésie populaire algérienne est un patrimoine riche qui peut être exploité par les chercheurs des différentes disciplines des sciences humaines et sociales. Le travail de collecte et de transcription est la première étape vers la découverte de cette richesse. Ainsi, les Français qui étaient en Algérie pendant la colonisation française, se sont adonnés à recueillir et traduire cette poésie dans les différentes régions du pays, en tenant compte de la valeur documentaire qu’elle offre. La Revue africaine compte parmi ses articles un bon nombre de poésies populaires publiées par ses collaborateurs qui répondaient à la mission de l’exploration scientifique du pays colonisé. Nous nous proposons d’étudier dans cet article, les textes traduits en français de la poésie populaire algérienne publiés dans la Revue africaine, en analysant les thèmes qu’ils développent, selon le genre du poème. À travers cette lecture thématique, nous analyserons l’expression de l’Algérien colonisé : son identité, sa condition de colonisé, sa révolte ainsi que sa vie quotidienne. Quant à l’expression du colonisateur, elle se révèle dans le choix des textes publiés. |
