| المستخلص: | In light of the new changes that the world witnessed in various fields and the rapid and widespread development brought about by the technology and information revolution, and the beginning of the twenty-first century with its important radical changes that revealed many challenges, threats and opportunities, as well as the growth of the concept of knowledge and information literacy in which technology is one of its components; The right to access and benefit from knowledge has become a human right that has become essential regardless of any other considerations, as libraries play an important role in this as outlets for knowledge and culture, which led to the emergence of challenges and difficulties for libraries to adopt in spreading the concept of information in a changing reality. Challenges The development of information and communication technology, As the interest and focus on developing information literacy, which is the key to an innovative and creative world in all fields, means that the societies of tomorrow will be based on knowledge and its dominance, and become capable of production, progress, creativity, innovation and converting information into knowledge, then transforming this knowledge into a distinct knowledge product for literacy. Informatics, until this era came to be called the information age. في ظل التغيرات الجديدة التي شهدها العالم في شتى المجالات وما أحدثته ثورة التكنولوجيا والمعلومات من تطور سريع وواسع النطاق، وببدء القرن الحادي والعشرون بتغييراته الجذرية الهامة التي كشفت العديد من التحديات والتهديدات والفرص، فضلا عن نمو مفهوم المعرفة ومحو الأمية المعلوماتية التي تعتبر التكنولوجيا أحد عناصره؛ فأصبح حق الوصول للمعرفة والانتفاع بها من حقوق الإنسان التي باتت أساسية بصرف النظر عن أي اعتبارات أخرى، حيث أن المكتبات تلعب دورا هاما في ذلك باعتبارها منافذ للمعرفة والثقافة، مما أدى إلى ظهور تحديات وصعوبات أمام المكتبات لتبنيها نشر مفهوم المعلومات في واقع متغير ومن ضمن هذه التحديات تطور تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات، حيث أصبح الاهتمام والتركيز على تنمية محو الأمية المعلوماتية والتي تعد مفتاح لعالم مبتكر ومبدع في كافة المجالات يعني أن مجتمعات الغد ستكون قائمة على المعرفة وهيمنتها، وتصبح قادرة على الإنتاج والتقدم والإبداع والابتكار وتحويل المعلومات إلى معرفة، ثم تحويل هذه المعرفة إلى منتج معرفي متميز لمحو الأمية المعلوماتية، حتى أصبح يطلق على هذا العصر عصر المعلومات |
