| المستخلص: | The Waqf "Endowment" has a prominent position which becomes more important day after day, especially in light of the inability of countries to provide for the needs of their peoples, which prompted them to resort to the waqf as a support to them to advance the status of their societies and complement their role in bridging the gap between the resources and needs of their peoples. Foreign countries have realized the Waqf issue based on its study of Islamic civilization and its history related to voluntary charity work, and they have established many charitable institutions, the most prominent of which is Wellcome Trust, which works in the service of society. Hence this study came through which we will try to identify this institution and monitor the most important factors for its success, which can be used to develop Islamic Waqf institutions and improve their performance. للوقف مكانة مرموقة تزداد أهمية يوما بعد يوم خاصة في ظل عجز الدول عن توفير احتياجات أفرادها المتزايدة؛ الأمر الذي أكد ضرورة لجوء هذه الأخيرة إلى الوقف كأسلوب مساند لها للنهوض بمكانة مجتمعاتها وتكملة دورها في سد الفجوة بين مواردها واحتياجات أفرادها. لقد تفطن الغربيون لقضية الوقف اعتمادا على استقرائهم لحضارة المسلمين وتاريخهم المتعلق بالعمل الخيري التطوعي، فأنشأوا مؤسسات كثيرة من أهمها وقفية Wellcome trust والتي تعد من أكبر المؤسسات الخيرية العاملة في خدمة المجتمع. ومن هنا جاءت هذه الدراسة للتعرف بهذه المؤسسة وتبين خصائصها، محاولة رصد أهم العوامل التي ساهمت في إنجاحها، والتي يمكن الاستفادة منها للنهوض بالمؤسسة الوقفية الإسلامية، وتطوير أدائها. |
