| المستخلص: | The study mainly aimed to uncover obstacles to using the qualitative approach in sociology research and to achieve this goal, the mixed method was used - and the study tools were represented in the questionnaire and the interview, and the study was applied to two samples of faculty members who specialize in sociology in universities. Saudi Arabia: The first sample consisted of 81 members, and the second sample consisted of 12 members, and the study concluded with a number of results: The most prominent of which is that there is a great influence of the positivist school philosophy in sociology in general and among many specialists in sociology, and that this influence is still continuing continuously. This is largely reflected in the preparation of faculty members and researchers quantitatively, and the creation of an academic culture that promotes the use of the quantitative approach and neglects the qualitative approach not only in the field of research and scientific studies, but rather it excludes this curriculum from the study plans of academic programs, and the study made a number of recommendations Most notably: the necessity to get rid of the unilateral trend in sociology research and the use of methodological pluralism in line with the studied phenomena, training faculty members and students of studies The university and researchers are interested in using qualitative curricula, developing an independent course for teaching qualitative curricula in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and publishing cultural programs that promote the use of qualitative curricula. هدفت الدراسة بشكل رئيس إلى الكشف عن معوقات استخدام المنهج الكيفي في بحوث علم الاجتماع، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تم استخدام المنهج المختلط-Mixed Methods-وتمثلت أدوات الدراسة في الاستبانة، والمقابلة، وتم تطبيق الدراسة على عينتين من أعضاء هيئة التدريس المتخصصين في علم الاجتماع في الجامعات السعودية: العينة الأولى تكونت من ٨١ عضوا وعضوة، والعينة الثانية تكونت من ١٢عضوا. وخلصت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج، أبرزها: أن هناك تأثيرا كبيرا لفلسفة المدرسة الوضعية في علم الاجتماع عموما ولدى الكثير من المتخصصين في علم الاجتماع، وأن هذا التأثير مازال مستمرا بشكل كبير، وهو ما انعكس بشكل كبير في إعداد أعضاء هيئة التدريس والباحثين إعدادا كميا، وخلق ثقافة أكاديمية تعزز من استخدام المنهج الكمي وتغفل المنهج الكيفي، ليس في مجال الأبحاث والدراسات العلمية فحسب، بل إنها تقصي هذا المنهج من الخطط الدراسية للبرامج الأكاديمية. وقدمت الدراسة عددا من التوصيات أبرزها: ضرورة التخلص من الاتجاه الأحادي في بحوث علم الاجتماع واستخدام التعددية المنهجية بما يتوافق مع الظواهر المدروسة، تدريب أعضاء هيئة التدريس وطلبة الدراسات العليا والباحثين على استخدام المناهج الكيفية، ووضع مقرر مستقل لتدريس المناهج الكيفية في برامج البكالوريوس والدراسات العليا، ونشر برامج ثقافية تعزز استخدام المناهج الكيفية. |
