| المستخلص: | كانت معدلات وفيات الأطفال في العالم القديم بأسره كبيرة للغاية؛ خاصة عند الولادة أو في عام الطفل الأول مقارنة بالعصور الحالية؛ حيث تقل المناعة في ظل ظروف صحية محدودة بالطبع، ومن هنا تبرز أسئلة هامة منها مثلاً هل كان يعد لهذا المولود طقوس دفن معينه؟ هل كان يدفن مع ذويه في نفس القبر أم في قبر منفصل؟ هل كانت توضع بجانبه أشياء خاصة؟ وغيرها من الأسئلة.... فمن خلال الشواهد الأثرية لوحظ من كان منهم يدفن في أرضية المنازل أو جوار البيت وهنا برز سؤال آخر وهو ما الغرض المحدد من ذلك؟ وبتتبع بعض عادات أهل الريف حتى أوقات قريبة وجدت بعض الأمور التي قد تلقى بظلالها وتصلنا بذلك الماضي البعيد .. يهدف البحث إلى إلقاء الضوء على هذا الموضوع الهام المتعلق بالحياة الاجتماعية والجنزية وملاحقته عبر عصور مختلفة من خلال الشواهد الأثرية والكتابات. يعد حدث الموت من أهم الموضوعات التي استحوذت على التفكير الإنساني في كل زمان ومكان ارتبط بالإنسان، ويمتلئ التراث الإنساني بالآراء والمعتقدات المتعلقة بالموت والحياة والعالم الآخر والخلود. وقد أثارت دراسة الموت اهتمام العلماء والباحثين في علوم وتخصصات مختلفة. ليس في العلوم الطبية فحسب بل في العلوم النفسية والاجتماعية والفلسفية فنشأ علم يسمى علم دراسة الموت Thanatology Child mortality rates in the entire ancient world were very high, especially at birth or in the first year of the child compared to current times, where immunity decreases under limited health conditions, and from here important questions arise, such as, for example, was this newborn prepared for a certain burial ritual? Through the archaeological evidence, it was noticed that some of them were buried in the floor of the houses or next to the house, and here another question arose, which is what is the specific purpose of that? By following some of the customs of the people of the countryside until recently, some things were found that may cast a shadow and connect us to that distant past. The research aims to shed light on this important topic related to social and burial life and pursue it through different eras through archaeological evidence and writings. The event of death is one of the most important topics that have captured human thinking in every time and place associated with man. The human heritage is filled with opinions and beliefs regarding death, life, the afterlife, and immortality. The study of death has aroused the interest of scientists and researchers in different sciences and disciplines.
