المستخلص:حذر القرآن الكريم من اتباع سنن الجاهلية، ومن التشبه بها، وعلى الرغم من كثرة ما كتب عن النهي عن الجاهلية، وعن التشبه بأهلها، إلا أن كثيراً من هذه الكتابات ركزت على مظاهر أو ممارسات مخصوصة، وتناست الحكمة من هذا النهي ومراميه العميقة، وتطرف بعضهم فحارب كل ما لا يستسيغه وبهواه ووصمه بالجاهلية، وقد حرصت في هذا البحث على تتبع أقوال المفسرين والمفكرين في بيان حقيقة الجاهلية، وآثارها وانعكاساتها، في خمسة مباحث: المبحث الأول: معنى الجاهلية ومفهومها. المبحث الثاني: ظن الجاهلية. المبحث الثالث: حكم الجاهلية. المبحث الرابع: تبرج الجاهلية. المبحث الخامس: حمية الجاهلية. ثم خاتمة البحث التي لخصت فيها أهم النتائج والتوصيات. وأهم النتائج التي توصل إليها البحث: إن حكم الجاهلية هو من قبيل الجاهلية المطلقة، وإن صدر ما يشابه هذا الموقف من المسلمين، فهو جاهلية مقيدة.
