| 520 | |a بعد أن قضى الموحدون على المرابطين، كان لا يزال بنو غانية ذوي الأصول المرابطية أمراءا على الجزائر الشرقية، وحاول الخلفاء الموحديون دعوتهم لتقديم الولاء والطاعة ومبايعتهم، لكن بنو غانية امتنعوا عن ذلك، وعلى عداوتهم التي عملوا سابقا على إخفائها بالهدايا، كما أنهم فكروا في توسيع إماراتهم على حساب نفوذ الدولة الموحدية آملين وراء ذلك إلى محاولة إعادة إحياء مجد الدولة المرابطية، وقد فكروا بالتعاون مع بقايا المرابطين في بجاية على أن تكون المدينة وجهتهم الأولى في بداية توسع إمارتهم، وفعلا تمكنوا من الاستيلاء عليها لكن الموحدون لم يتوانوا في إعداد جيوشهم لاسترداد بجاية، وبعد الدخول مع بني غانية في مواجهات، تمكن الموحدون من استرداد بجاية تحت سلطتهم، ولم تبق هذه المدينة تحت سلطة بني غانية سوى ستة أشهر حسب ما أوردته المصادر التاريخية. | ||
| 520 | |f After the Almohads eliminated the Almoravids, the Banu Ghania of Almoravid origins were still Emirs of eastern Algeria. The Almohad caliphs tried to invite them to offer allegiance and obedience and pledge allegiance to them. Still, the Banu Ghania refrained from that, and on the basis of the enmity that they previously hid with gifts, they also thought to expand their emirates at the expense of the influence of the Almohad state, hoping behind this to revive the glory of the Almoravid state. They thought of cooperating with the remnants of the Almoravids in Bejaia that the city would be their first destination at the beginning of the expansion of their emirate. And indeed, they managed to seize it, but the Almohads did not fail to prepare their armies to recover Bejaia. After confrontations with Beni Ghania, the Almohads managed to take back Bejaia under their authority.
