| المستخلص: | يبين هذا البحث من هم الموالي ومن أين جاءت تلك التسمية ومتى ظهروا في أي حقبة وما كان دورهم في الخلافة الأموية والعباسية هل هو سلبي أم إيجابي، إذ شغل الموالي في صدر الإسلام مناصب محددة. وعملوا في مختلف مرافق الخلافة مثلا في الزراعة والصناعة والتجارة. وكان لهم دور كبير في الفتوحات الإسلامية وخاصة في العصر الأموي. لكن تعرض بعضهم للاضطهاد مما ثاروا على الأمويين وقوفا مع العباسيين وازداد نفوذهم في العصر العباسي إذ أصبح الموالي بطانة الخليفة ورجال دولته وشغلوا المناصب الإدارية الهامة وسيطروا على بيت المال. إذ تناول المبحث الأول معنى الموالي لغة واصطلاح. أما المبحث الثاني فعرض كيف كان الموالي في عصر نبينا محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ودورهم. أما المبحث الثالث فعرج على مكانة الموالي ودورهم زمن الخلفاء الرشدين. وشرح المبحث الرابع الأمويون وسياستهم الإدارية والمالية تجاه الموالي. أما المبحث الخامس بين العباسيون في العصر العباسي الأول وسياستهم الإدارية والمالية تجاه الموالي. فضلا عن حركة الشعوبية التي قامت في تلك الحقبة. وللمزيد من المعلومات فقد تضمن متن البحث تفاصيل أكثر مع هوامشه. His research shows who are the loyalists and where did that name come from, and when did they appear in any era and what was their role in the Umayyad and Abbasid caliphate? They had a great role in the Islamic conquests, especially in the Umayyad era.
