Fervente adepte du mouvement féministe, l’auteure ne se lasse pas de reproduire ses idées à travers ses écris, ses héroïnes. Tante Alicia, Mamita, Gigi, sont toutes des battantes, des dames à fort caractère qui s’imposent dans une société en plein un remue- ménage comme conséquence à la Révolution industrielle. Mais Colette ne se contente pas de créer des personnages imaginaires pour parler de Paris La Belle Epoque ; elle s’intéresse aussi aux courtisanes qui ont fait sensation à l’époque à l’exemple de Liane de Pougy. Ces protagonistes féminines sont des personnages construits à partir de faits et de dires, certaines sont présentes actives en ce qui concerne l’intrigue, d’autres absentes ou inactives mais elles représentent toutes chacune à sa manière l’un des aspects morphologique ou morale de la parisienne de La Belle Epoque selon la vision de l’auteure. | ||

A fervent follower of the feminist movement, the author is never tired of reproducing her ideas through her writing and heroines. Aunt Alicia, Mamita, Gigi, are all fighters, ladies with strong character who impose themselves in a society in the midst of a commotion as a consequence of the Industrial Revolution. But Colette does not just create imaginary characters to talk about Paris of La Belle Epoque; she is also interested in courtesans who made a sensation at the time, like Liane de Pougy. These female protagonists are characters built from facts and statements, some are present and active; others are absent or inactive but they all represent in their own way one of the morphological or moral aspects of the Parisian La Belle Epoque according to the vision of the author. | ||
