| المستخلص: | The intellectual production of Mustafa Ben al-Khuja coincided with the intensification of colonial policies aimed at obliterating the national identity and domestication of Algerian society. Though he held several administrative positions in the French administration, he tried to incite Algerians to adhere to the pillars of portraying Algerian personality. Here in this article, we seek to highlight the great role played by Ben al-Khuja in the battle to enlighten the minds. We tried to draw attention to his huge intellectual product by reviewing examples of issues of Algerian society in the late 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century in light of his opinions and writings. We can consider Ben al-Khuja to be one of the first reformers who realized the ambitions of the French administration, so we find him using the soft discourse with the French to avoid direct confrontation with the authority, especially under the control of the pens of the reform advocates both internally and externally. It is noticed that he followed the approach of reforming society without attracting or disturbing the attention of the French administration. This is because he knows that banning his ideas serves as a ban of the features of the Algerian national identity with its Arab-Islamic dimensions. تزامن الإنتاج الفكري لمصطفى بن الخوجة الجزائري مع اشتداد وطأة السياسات الكولونيالية الرامية لطمس معالم الهوية الوطنية وتدجين المجتمع الجزائري، وعلى الرغم من أنه تقلده عدة مناصب إدارية في الإدارة الفرنسية إلا أنه حاول أن يحض الجزائريين على التمسك بدعائم الشخصية الجزائرية. ونحن هنا في هذا المقال نسعى لإبراز الدور الكبير الذي لعبه بن الخوجة في معركة تنوير العقول، كما حاولنا لفت الانتباه لمنتوجه الفكري الضخم من خلال استعراض نماذج من قضايا المجتمع الجزائري أواخر القرن 19م وبداية القرن 20م في ضوء آراءه وكتاباته. ويمكننا اعتبار بن الخوجة من المصلحين الأوائل الذين تفطنوا لمطامع الإدارة الفرنسية، لذلك نجده يستعمل الخطاب اللين مع الفرنسيين لتجنب الصدام المباشر مع السلطة، خاصة في ظل الرقابة المفروضة على أقلام دعاة الإصلاح داخليا وخارجيا على حد السواء. فالملاحظ هنا أنه اتبع منهج إصلاح المجتمع دون جذب انتباه الإدارة الفرنسية أو إزعاجها. لأنه يعلم أن حظر أفكاره بمثابة وأد لمعالم الهزية الوطنية الجزائرية بأبعادها العربية الإسلامية. |
