| 520 | |b This study deals with the topic of international protection from the risks of space debris, and it is one of the new topics for discussion, and it receives great attention from the western scientific and academic circles today. On our part, we seek to bring this issue up for discussion at the Arab level. This study aims to introduce the phenomenon of debris and its dangers. From the beginning of the launch of the first satellite into space, scientists have discovered that the largest mass, the launch vehicle of this satellite, has turned into space debris. Since then, the problem of space debris resulting from launch operations, or the deliberate detonation of useless satellites, or the collision of space objects operating in Space with debris in different Earth orbits. The study is interested in explaining the position of space treaties on the phenomenon of space debris, and international efforts to reduce the risks of debris, and in particular the role of the United Nations in addressing this phenomenon. We will also introduce the role of principles of international law relevant to protection against the risks of space debris. | 520 | |a تتناول هذه الدراسة موضوع الحماية الدولية من مخاطر الحطام الفضائي، وهو من الموضوعات الجديدة والمطروحة للبحث، وتلقي اهتمام بالغ من قبل الدوائر العلمية والاكاديمية الغربية في الوقت الحاضر. ونسعى من جانبنا إلى طرح هذا الموضوع للمناقشة على المستوي العربي. وتهدف هذه الدراسة الي التعريف بظاهرة الحطام وبمخاطرها. فمنذ بداية إطلاق أول قمر صناعي في الفضاء اكتشف العلماء أن الكتلة الأكبر وهي مركبة الإطلاق لهذا القمر قد تحولت الي حطام فضائي، ومنذ ذلك الحين تتزايد مشكلة الحطام الفضائي الناتجة عن عمليات الإطلاق، أو تعمد تفجير الأقمار الصناعية عديمة الفائدة، أو اصطدام الأجسام الفضائية العاملة في الفضاء بالحطام الموجود في مدارات الأرض المختلفة. وتهتم الدراسة ببيان موقف معاهدات الفضاء من ظاهرة الحطام الفضائي، والجهود الدولية للحد من مخاطر الحطام، وبصفة خاصة دور الأمم المتحدة في معالجة هذه الظاهرة. وسوف نعرض ايضا لدور مبادئ القانون الدولي ذات الصلة بالحماية من مخاطر الحطام الفضائي. | ||
