| المستخلص: | للغة أبعاد اجتماعية وحضارية وثقافية، ورغم اختلاف لغات العالم إلا أنها تشترك في خاصية حملها لأفكار وثقافات الشعوب، ولما كانت اللغة بهذه الأهمية أصبحت عملية تعليمها في المدارس تشغل بال الكثير من الباحثين بمختلف تخصصاتهم، علماء اللغة أو النفس أو التربية، أدى هذا الانشغال إلى ظهور عدد من النظريات في علم النفس عالجت قضية التعلم عند الفرد، فاستثمرت نتائج هذه الأبحاث في المجال التربوي، وبالخصوص تعليم اللغة لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الابتدائية لأنها المرحلة التأسيسية لمراحل التعليم القادمة. ويعد التوجه البنائي من أبرز المداخل النفسية التي عرفها العصر الحالي، وينادي بتطبيق مبادئها في مجال التعليم، وما يميز البنائية عن غيرها من النظريات التعلم الأخرى أنها نظرية التعلم والمعرفة في الوقت ذاته، ولها وجهات نظر في عملية تعلم اللغة باعتبارها معرفة يسعى الفرد إلى اكتسابها.
