| المستخلص: | تعالج رواية شرفات بحر الشمال الهم الوطني الذي عانت منه الجزائر، وتتحدث في جانب كبير منها عن محنة المثقف والإنسان الجزائري عموما، تصور مظاهر الخيبة التي يشعر بها، ولأن المثقف إنسان مبدع فطبيعة الإبداع تفترض وجود الحرية والمثقف إنسان لا يقبل أن يسجن فكره أو فنه. فالحرية قضيته الأولى في زمن يسعى لاستئصال الثقافة والفن بكل ما ينطوي عليه من قيم الحرية والصدق والجمال، وهنا تتجسد محنة المثقف الذي يحاول الحفاظ على فنه أكثر من حياته، فهو السبيل الوحيد للمقاومة والثورة على العقول المظلمة التي تسعى إلى استئصال المختلف عنها فكريا. Le roman "chorofet bahr echamel" traite ou examine le désagrément national faisant souffrir la nation algérienne, ce dernier raconte une grande partie sur la mélancolie et la déception de l’instruit algérien grosso modo. Imagine les états d’échec que lui sent sachant que l’instruit est un inventeur, et la nature d’invention exige sans doute l’existence de la liberté et en même temps ce dernier ne tolère pas d’écrouer sa réflexion et son art de s’exprimer. Pour lui la liberté est sa première question dans un temps participant à l’extirpation de la liberté ainsi que l’art qui comporte les principes de la liberté, sincérité et l’élégance, et ici s’avère la souffrance de l’instruit essayant de garder son art plus que sa vie; c’est le seul accès pour la lutte et la révolution contre les concepts ou esprits obscurs incitant à l’extirpation des ceux qui sont éclairés. The novel ‘Terraces of the North Sea’ deals with the national anguish that Algeria suffered from, and talks in large part about the sorry condition of the intellectual and the Algerian man in general, depicting the manifestations of disappointment that he feels. Since the intellectual is a creative person, the nature of creativity presupposes the existence of freedom, and the intellectual is a person who does not accept to imprison his thought or his art. Freedom is his first issue in a time that seeks to eradicate culture and art with all its values of freedom, honesty and beauty, and here embodies the unfortunate situation of the intellectual who tries to preserve his art more than his life, as it is the only way to resist and revolutionize the dark minds that seek to get rid of those intellectually different from them.
