| المستخلص: | تناولت الدّراسة تطور النشاط الصناعي في إقليم درنة منذ بداية القرن الماضي، وتبين أن النشاط الصناعي في البلدية توقف في بعض الأنشطة الصناعية، وهي التي تقع ضمن فئة الصناعات الكبيرة، وذلك بسبب نقص المواد الخام والسيولة المالية والأيدي العاملة بالإضافة إلى ضعف البنية التحتية، وتبين كذلك أن النشاط الغالب والمستمر في منطقة الدراسة هو نشاط الصناعات الصغرى (كالصناعات الغذائية أو الخشبية أو المعدنية والهندسية، ومواد البناء ... وغيرها). كما تتوفر في المنطقة العديد من الموارد المحلية والتي في حال استغلالها سيكون لها دور في زيادة النمو الاقتصادي والذي يؤدي إلى استيعاب العاطلين عن العمل، ولقد أوضحت الدراسة إنه يتوفر عدد 527 نشاط تجاري مسجل وهو لا يعمل منه سوى 325 نشاط صناعي، والتي تستوعب حوالي 3256 عامل محلي وعدد 208 وافد، فيما توزعت الأنشطة على عدد ثماني فئات صناعية كانت الأغلبية للصناعات الغذائية. واتضح كذلك أن تركز الصناعة وتوطنها فقد كان في كل من محلة الساحل الشرقي "بمدينة درنة" ومنطقة الفتائح.
