| المستخلص: | يعنى هذا البحث بدراسة إسهامات أبي الريحان البيروني في تأسيس علم مقارنة الأديان، ساعيا إلى إبراز الأثر البارز لهذا العالم المسلم في هذا الفرع العلمي، وسبقه في كثير من قواعده وأصوله، ومن ثم بيان جانب من فضل الحضارة الإسلامية على الحضارة الغربية التي تنسب هذا العلم إليها. وقد سلكت في هذا البحث المنهج الوصفي الاستنباطي، لأخلص في الأخير إلى مجموعة من النتائج منها: أن الحضارة الإسلامية لها الفضل الكبير في ظهور علم مقارنة الأديان وتطوره، وأن علماء المسلمين سبقوا علماء الغرب في كثير من مواضيع هذا العلم وقواعده وأصوله، وأن دراسة علماء المسلمين للأديان (ومنهم البيروني) لم تكن دراسة عشوائية وعبثية، بل كانت قائمة على أصول علمية محكمة. أما أهم توصيات البحث فهي الدعوة إلى مزيد من الاهتمام بهذا الفرع العلمي (مقارنة الأديان) واعتباره من العلوم الإسلامية المشكلة للتراث الإسلامي. This research is concerned with studying the contributions of Abi al-Rayhan Al-Bayroni to the establishment of the science of comparative religions, seeking to highlight the prominent impact of this Muslim scholar in this branch of science, and he preceded it in many of its rules and origins, and then to demonstrate a side of the virtue of Islamic civilization over the Western civilization to which this science is attributed. In this research, I have adopted a descriptive and deductive approach, concluding with a number of findings, including that Islamic civilization has great credit for the emergence and evolution of the science of comparative religions, and that Muslim scholars have preceded Western scholars in many of the subjects, rules, and principles of this science.
